WHAT YOU NEED TO DO KNOW ABOUT SCARF IN THE PARK.

VOLUNTEERS:
1. Dress warm. If you get cold, go to your car and warm up. Safety first.
2. If you are bringing items, please post the number in the comment section. We want to make sure we have an accurate final count.
3. We will begin hanging items promptly at 1 p.m. The goal is to have everything up in 30 minutes or less!
4. Because of the extreme cold, we will not be writing any notes on site this year. We have messages on all of the scarves.

Thank you for volunteering and thank you to everyone who donated. If you know someone in need, please share they can begin selecting items at 2 p.m.

Some of the most beautiful moments happen before we even get to the park. This is the second year Billy Lanier donated items he knitted. He is on hospice care and yet he is committed to helping others.

We have over 2000 hats, gloves, scarves and socks

We have over 2000 hats, gloves, scarves and socks for Scarf in the Park! We do NOT have many men's hats or gloves. We especially need men's gloves. Who wants to help? We are happy to pick up donations, you can bring to Scarf in the Park on Christmas Eve, or you are welcome to donate $$ and we will purchase. You can Venmo donations @Susan-Guess-1

As I stood in that small holding area at the McCracken County Jail with these three ladies, I just felt like a hug was in order.

I was overwhelmed with gratitude, love, and sadness. All at the same time! We do our best to hear what God wants us to do and we pray that he leads us to the work he wants us to do.

He led us to this place and to these people. I'm still not entirely sure why, but I know there is a purpose greater than the beautiful hats and scarves they made.

Everyone who donates items or joins us on Christmas Eve to hang the hats, gloves, scarves, and socks are as filled with as much joy as those who receive these gifts of hope. Volunteers arrive at 1 pm. Come out to Dolly McNutt Plaza at 2 p.m. on December 24 if you are in need. You will never be the same.

SCARF IN THE PARK: This year, more than ever, we w

SCARF IN THE PARK: This year, more than ever, we will have friends and neighbors in need of items to stay warm. There will not be collection points this year but you can bring your hats, gloves, scarves and socks on December 24 and hang them yourself. We are also happy to pick up donations.

All items are needed, but especially men's hats, gloves and scarves. We share items with the warming center and the Community Kitchen. The homeless in our community get items to stay warm as do those in our community who cannot afford these items. We have met men over the years who work outside and need these critical items.

We will begin hanging items at Dolly McNutt Plaza at 1 p.m. and those in need will be able to begin selecting items.
